Common questions

Does every person need an account?

No. The current version has no login. Pick one person from your contacts or add a name only; either can pay, owe, and be owed normally.

Can the app read all my contacts?

The app uses the phone’s native picker. It saves only the person you choose to that local trip. It never uploads your address book.

Does WhatsApp send automatically?

No. HuanWoQian opens a prefilled chat for the selected debtor. You review it and tap send in WhatsApp yourself.

Can I pay inside the app?

No. HuanWoQian calculates balances and records an offline repayment status. Actual payment happens outside the app.

Why did a push reminder wait?

Push may wait until quiet hours end, or may be disabled in the app or operating-system settings. In-app notifications remain available when enabled.

How do I correct an expense?

Open the trip, select the expense, and create a revision. The prior revision remains in the audit trail and balances update atomically.

Account and privacy

Export or delete your account from Profile → Account & data. If the app is unavailable, use the web deletion flow. Read the privacy policy for what is removed and what remains anonymized.
